Sometimes I like to make things that have a lot of white space. White space is an important part of design because it allows your elements to pop. And by introducing some dimension, you can really help create a defined focal point on a project. I think that’s really true with this card.
I loved playing around with creating a “shadow” using the image, colored with markers, stamped once on the white and then paper pieced the tree in the foreground to give this card some easy dimension. The fringe of grass also creates the illusion of depth even though that tree is popped up with only one Stampin’ Dimensional. The paper piercing around the background tree offers even more emphasis and helps the viewer to focus on the place where the hearts start to fly free. Aside from fussy cutting the foreground tree, this card took VERY little time and when you use a stamp set like Easy Events which has a terrific selection of images for all occasions with the accompanying greetings, you really can’t run out of gorgeous, easy cards for just about anything!
