Friday Fab in Five!

Welcome to another installment of Friday Fab in Five where I show you a project that took roughly five minutes to make!

Today I am showing you another project with those pretty blooms I used on the much talked about Anniversary Party favors.  I LOVE these flowers because they are so easy to make and depending on what you use to make them – cardstock, embossed cardstock, designer series paper, etc. – you always get a GORGEOUS final product that can be used a TON of ways.

Now, I have a Kindle, as I am sure many people have, or some iteration of an e-reader.  But I also spend a lot of time with my "real" books and I am always looking for something to stick in there to mark my place.  Today I was fooling around with yet another ink and paper color combination and one of the flowers I had on hand landed on the end of my bone folder.  I got thinking how I wish I had something that pretty to stick in my book and – "Liiiiyte bulllb" (anyone see Despicable Me?)  – I thought of this!

Bloom Book Mark
Isn't that pretty?  And yes, it took roughly five minutes. When you use regular Stampin' Up! cardstock, splitting the layers is super easy and then it's just a matter of crumpling, poking in a brad and sticking it all together on a giant paperclip!  I mean, really, can't you see whipping a passle of these up for book club favors, as tie-ons for gifted books, as stocking stuffers, teachers' gifts or just to have on hand?  And these are a GREAT way to use up scraps!

And of course having the best dressed book around doesn't hurt things either!
